HP Way, or not HP Way: that is not the question… Do not be fooled!

It is understandable that under certain circumstances it may be necessary to ask all employees to make a special effort, including a pay cut, to maintain jobs or to help the company during difficult times.

The question raised following M. Hurd’s announcement is not on the principle but to know whether:

• all these circumstances are reunited
• are these measures fair and equitable

Our answer to these two questions is NO.

We won’t deny the current worldwide economic crisis; nevertheless HP is doing pretty well as shown by the company results in this difficult climate.

Neither, will we blame our CEO’s will to anticipate the future and prevent us from a possible down-turn as well as to prepare HP to come out of the crisis at its best.

Mark Hurd's plan to decrease salaries is simply not relevant and totally unfair. This article is demonstrating what it is really about, don't be fooled!
